Flashscore

Brief

My brief for the first project of my second year was to choose a website or mobile application which I believed needed a update in terms of usability and interaction qualities and to showcase my final product as a working prototype on either Adobe XD or Sketch.

I decided to choose flash scores as my website to redesign. Flash scores is a website for checking sports scores across the globe. It’s mobile application version is highly rated and is light years ahead of the website in terms of design and functionality. My goal for this project was to bring the website version up to the high standard that the app holds.

The original website

Below are a couple of examples of the current website. My main area of the redesign was to focus on the main page to improve its aesthetic quality as well as the functionality.

Ideation

A snapshot of a few of the brainstorming ideas for the new website. I wanted to make a more personalised experience for the user by creating a more detailed home page in which the user could customise what they wanted to see on the screen.

User personas

A couple of user personas I created to help me understand what target market I was aiming for

Creating low fidelity wireframes once I had a clearer idea of what I wanted to bring into the final prototype.

High fidelity wireframes
